Breitling Avenger Hurricane iN smaller version
Earlier this year, Breitling replica launched a 50 mm large case made of its unique “Breitlight” material at Baselworld 2017, and adopted a new “Hurricane” model. It seems too big for some people and now returns with a smaller diameter.
The 45mm case is a very popular version for those who have not had enough experience to develop a Dwayne Johnson-sized wrist and wear the previous 50mm case. Just like the previous model, it is also made of Breitling’s patented “Breitlight” material. It is composed of lightweight high-tech polymers and filled with composite fibers to increase strength. Another beneficial property of this material is its natural diamagnetic and anti-allergic properties.
On the right side of the case are two buttons for operating the chronograph function, and there is a screw-in crown between the two buttons. The case is fixed on the back of the case by solid screws. It also includes a “Breitlight” unidirectional rotating diver’s bezel with a rider label for memorizing time intervals, and is engraved with Arabic numerals every 5 minute increments. The top is scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflective glare on both sides. The water resistance of this fake watch can reach 100 meters (330 feet).
The time is displayed on Breitling glasses, and the dials in cobra yellow or volcanic black have Arabic numerals in the style of white wax paper. A small circle of black minute index marks can be seen around the dial. Although the previous version of this model product line had a 24-hour clock for “military time”, the new version chose a 12-hour clock.
There are 3 small dials: a 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock, a 12-hour counter at 6 o’clock, and a sub-second at 9 o’clock. The hands and Arabic numerals have been treated with luminous coating to improve readability. There is also a date hole between the 4 o’clock and 5 o’clock positions. In essence, the design of this model has not changed much except for the smaller chassis.
For those who go to the gym or just prefer larger clocks, the previous “Avenger Hurricane” with a 50mm case and a 24-hour clock is still available. However, for most people now, they are not equipped with oversized limbs, Breitling has provided this option. Those who feel that they have disappeared until now will highly appreciate this move.

This “Breitling Avenger Hurricane 45” (reference below) is powered by an internal self-winding mechanical movement, movement B01 with 47 jewels and 28,800 vph. When fully wound, the power reserve of this timepiece can be up to 70 hours.
A black rubber strap is installed on the watch, which is fixed to the wrist with a Breitlight folding clasp.
