We were in close contact with the new Jacob & Co Epic X Chrono Carbon Bugatti and practiced it personally to celebrate the 110th anniversary of Bugatti: forging carbon on DLC titanium Chrono.

This is a special edition of the sports version “Bugatti Chrono Edition Limitée 110 Ans”, limited to 110 pieces to commemorate the creation of Ettore Bugatti (Bugatti) in 1909. Case and hands
The Bugatti case is a special forged carbon fiber case. The case is made of black DLC titanium and forged carbon, giving the watch a unique appearance. The color of the French flag on the matching dial is “racing stripes”. The overall aesthetic evokes a sense of bustling emotion, vitality, movement and strength.
The case is quite large, with a diameter of 47 mm and a height of 17 mm. However, due to the structure of titanium and carbon fiber, the feel on the wrist is very light and agile.
The putter is made of black DLC titanium alloy and protected by protective carbon fiber. The buttons are flat buttons that follow the overall beautiful power line. Both screw-in crowns are black ceramic.
The dial is made of carbon fiber and has a black satin-finished anodized aluminum inner ring. The Bugatti logo completes the dual-brand design on the lower half of the dial, while the Jacob & Co logo occupies the upper part of the dial.
The layout adopts the classic double compound design, the hour and minute hands adopt hollow javelin pointers, and the auxiliary second hand is displayed on 9 sub-dials. The chronograph has two hands, the red central pivot chronograph second hand, and the sum of the minutes on the sub-dials is 3.
Legibility is not absolutely the best, because the dial colors are complementary rather than contrasting, but the visual impact of the French tricolor is impressive.
The timepiece uses a special rubber strap, inspired by the iconic Bugatti Chiron (Bugatti Chiron) rear hood, and has the iconic “EB” logo on the buckle to commemorate the partnership.
Movement: JCAA05
The main technical element of Epic X Chrono is Jacob & Co. JCAA05. We know that this is a self-developed self-winding chronograph movement unique to Jacobs. This movement is used in other watches in the Epix Chrono series. In the Bugatti version, it is skeletonized.
The surface finish of the movement is difficult to judge, because the sapphire glass at the rear is smoked on a dark surface. The movement is marked with “110 Ans Bugatti” in French tricolor. We did look at the opened movement and observed the application of the circular Geneva corrugation on the bridge. The working principle of the chronograph is to apply extremely high engineering polishing to bridges and column wheels. Competitive landscape
The chronographs co-branded with automobile companies are quite abundant. Therefore, the landscape has no shortage of residents. Concluding thoughts
Overall, the presentation was completed under rather limited aesthetic conditions. The dial is decorated with a safe with French three-color printing. Especially because Jacob & Co is usually known for its top-of-the-line watches, which have wild and incredible complexity and are often decorated with huge gems. After all, this is the same Jacob Arabo (Jacob Arabo) at the helm, he created astronomy, twin turbo and twin turbo fast and passionate products.
