Graham Fortress Monopusher returns with a more minimalist look
A new self-discovery with some interesting updates.
Founded in the 1990s, Graham fake is known for his large, bold and retro pilot watches with a start/stop trigger on the left, their signature design element. Graham is back with a new collection that still relies on some of their design cues, the Graham Fortress Monopusher Limited Edition.
On this model, Graham made the surprising decision to remove the start/stop trigger on the left side of the watch.
The new model features a transparent stainless steel case with a diameter of no less than 47mm and a height of approximately 15mm. Partly brushed and polished, with solid lugs and sapphire crystals on both sides. There is also water resistance up to 100 meters.
Without a doubt, the most distinctive design element is the onion-shaped crown located on the left side of the case, above which the individual chronograph pushers are located. Such a design makes the watch lose its identity a bit, but still looks dashing and masculine.
The dial of the new Graham Fortress Monopusher looks very unique as it is made directly from the brand’s production, with large applied Arabic numerals reminiscent of vintage aircraft dashboard instruments.
Available in grainy black or gradient blue, all elements are largely dimensioned for optimum contrast and filled with beige Super-LumiNova for a retro feel by day and legible by night. A small seconds subdial at 3 o’clock, a 30-minute counter at 6 o’clock and a date at 9 o’clock make this watch look very busy.
Below the sapphire caseback is the G1750, based on a modified Valjoux 7750. This automatic chronograph now features a single-button construction that beats at 4Hz and offers a 48-hour power reserve. Classic decor with pearl pattern, Geneva stripes and bespoke rotors. fake designer watches
