Who says a luxury chronograph with a serious mechanical pedigree has to come in a predictable grey hue? Not so with Jacob & Co.. The New York-based watchmaker, known for creating complex timepieces that make extensive use of diamonds, has just unveiled the Jacob & Co. Epic X Chrono Sky Blue, a luxury mechanical watch that unreservedly bathes in powder blue.
The Epic X Chrono Sky Blue is the latest model in Jacob & Co.’s acclaimed Epic X Chrono collection. Its unisex model features a blue mineral crystal dial with rose gold accents, sky blue pushers and crown, a skeletonized rubber strap, and a 47mm grade 5 titanium and 18k rose gold case. The semi-skeletonized column-wheel twin-cam automatic movement houses 260 parts and has a power reserve of 48 hours.
The model is on display at the Watches of Switzerland flagship store at Hudson Yards in Manhattan, alongside Jacob & Co.’s Epic X Chrono Bugatti and Epic X Chrono Messi limited editions. Some of the brand’s most complicated watches will also be on display, including the Astronomia Dragon, Astronomia Solar Baguette, Twin Turbo Furious, Fleurs de Jardin and Brilliant Arlequino Pastel.
“Our customers always expect to see something different and of exceptional quality when they visit our stores,” said David Hurley, Executive Vice President of Watches of Switzerland USA. “It was a natural choice for us to collaborate on an exclusive piece with fake Jacob & Co., a brand that is constantly pushing the boundaries of design and innovation. We are committed to continuing to elevate our customers’ in-store experience and look forward to introducing new, unexpected, undiscovered and extraordinary products this year through more partnerships and collaborations.”
