The Richard Mille RM 72-01 Le Mans Classic is an exclusive model celebrating the centenary of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The new watch is limited to 150 pieces and features a green and white quartz TPT combination. A celebration of technology and elegance, the RM 72-01 LMC (Le Mans Classic) features the company’s first flyback chronograph, featuring a patented double oscillating pinion clutch mechanism for maximum performance. The redesigned automatic movement features hours, minutes, small seconds, date and function indicators and offers a 50-hour power reserve whether the chronograph is in use or not.
The RM 72-01 LMC is a 24-hour chronograph with three subdials on a titanium skeletonized dial. The 16 on the 24-hour chronograph is underlined in red to commemorate the traditional start time of the enduro race. The checkered flag of Le Mans abounds on the dial at 11 o’clock on the Le Mans Classic logo and around the date aperture at 7 o’clock. The chronograph counter at 9 o’clock marks the elapsed seconds of the fake luxury watches, while the 60-minute counter between 12 and 2 o’clock marks the chronograph minutes.
The white and green quartz TPT case measures 38.40mm x 47.34mm x 11.68mm and features redesigned chronograph pushers. Using the pusher at 4 o’clock, the running chronograph hands can be reset without first stopping the mechanism. The system was originally developed for drivers to avoid losing time and accuracy by stopping, resetting and restarting the chronograph when passing waypoints. When the chronograph function is activated, a 24-hour counter and a 60-minute counter are visible through two counters at 5 o’clock and 2 o’clock, and the elapsed seconds are indicated by the central seconds hand.
Similar to a car transmission, when the crown is pulled, a function indicator between the 24-hour and 60-minute chronographs identifies the winding, neutral and time-setting positions. The active position is indicated by a hand at 3 o’clock, pointing to the following functions: W (winding) – D (date adjustment) – H (hand setting).
This type of balance guarantees greater reliability when subjected to shocks and during assembly and disassembly of the movement, and therefore better timekeeping results over time. Adjuster indexing is eliminated for more accurate and repeatable adjustments thanks to 4 small adjustable weights located directly on the balance. By using a platinum oscillating weight with ceramic ball bearings and a unidirectional reverser system, the barrel can be wound optimally while keeping its dimensions compact. mens replica watch
