Patek Philippe presents the World Time Minute Repeater Ref. 5531R-014 Tokyo 2023

The cloisonne city map is back.

In a special edition created for the Patek Philippe Art of Watchmaking Grand Exhibition in Tokyo, the World Time Minute Repeater Limited Edition Tokyo 2023 ref. 5531R-014. referee. The 5531R-014 is the more complex of the two world time models that mark events – the other is the reference. 5330G – Equipped with a cloisonné enamel dial.

The dial continues the pattern first found on the ref. 5531R-010 was produced for the 2019 Grand Exhibition in Singapore. At its center is cloisonné enamel, depicting a stylized map of the central district of Tokyo, including the vast grounds of the Imperial Palace at the upper left.

Unlike the other two Grand Exhibition Tokyo 2023 complications – Quad Comp ref. 5308P and World Time Reference. 5330G – new model incorporating the new caliber, ref. 5531R is a variant of the regular production model.

So while it’s less interesting from that perspective, ref. The 5531R-014 is still a compelling Popular copy watch. The cloisonné map is an unusual pattern on the dial, almost abstract from a distance, but interesting and attractive.

The watches does have an inherent appeal, but it also does look similar to the ref. 5531R-010 Made for Singapore Grand Show 2019. In fact, across a room, the two might be indistinguishable. Doing something more distinctive, like another case metal and dial color, would make it even more unique.

The cloisonné enamel dial depicts an overhead view of Tokyo’s Chuo district. Centrally located in central Tokyo, the Chuo Ward includes the Nihonbashi business district and the Ginza luxury shopping district. Major streets and roads form a grid pattern on the dial, with colors drawn from the greenery of the Imperial Palace and the waters of Tokyo Bay. It is worth mentioning that the dial is made in Anita Porchet’s workshop, as indicated by the “AP” signature.

Apart from the dial, the rest of the Wholesale replica watches is a standard reference. 5531. The case is rose gold and measures just over 40mm in diameter.

The key elements of the case can only be seen from the silhouette. Thanks to the openworked lugs, the middle of the case is guillochéd, which is unbroken along the entire length of the case strap.

Interestingly, the R 27 HU shares the same basic caliber as the Quadruple Complication ref. The 5308P-010 also debuted at the Tokyo Grand Show, so the rear views of both models are identical.
